1. How to correctly summon an elevator
Except for the bottom and top floors, elevators usually have two call buttons on each middle floor. If you want to go down, please press the down button, which is usually marked as "↓". If you want to go up, please press the up button, which is usually marked as "↑". Remember not to press both buttons at the same time to increase waiting time.
2. Be patient while waiting for the elevator
After summoning the elevator, choose a suitable location and do not block the elevator door so that passengers can evacuate in a timely manner. Especially, do not lean on the elevator floor door to avoid accidents when it opens.
3. How to safely enter and exit elevators
When the elevator arrives, the floor doors will automatically open in the order of "down first, up later". Only after the person getting off the elevator comes out can they enter the car. When entering the car, it must be done as quickly as possible. The opening time of the elevator is usually 4 to 6 seconds. If there are many passengers, you can press and hold the call button or have the passengers in the car press and hold the door button until all personnel have entered and exited.
4. Precautions when entering the elevator car
When passengers enter the elevator car, if the elevator door is open, they should check whether the elevator is on the same floor or whether the car is on this floor, especially at night when the light is not clear. Otherwise, it may cause injury, and they should enter and exit quickly.
5. How to deal with sudden power outage or malfunction of the elevator
In the event of an unexpected malfunction and sudden stoppage of the elevator, the safest solution for passengers trapped in the car is to remain calm, seek help from outside, and wait for rescue. Do not escape the elevator car from the safety window and enter the shaft on your own, or force yourself to open the door for self rescue. If the elevator suddenly runs at this time, it will bring great danger.
